Roll direction: the small detail that stops a line

An automatic applicator takes labels off the roll in one specific direction. The direction is numbered one to eight and defines which edge comes off first and whether the face points out or in. If that parameter is missing from the order, a run can be unusable even though the printing is correct. That is why the request form carries separate fields for labels per roll and for conditions of use. If you have no applicator and apply labels by hand, you can leave those fields empty.
